Our Mission:
Animal Town Sanctuary & Farm is a 501-C3 non-profit organization founded in 2012. Our primary mission is to rescue large breed dogs that have been dumped in high kill shelters and let them live out the rest of their lives in a stress free and natural environment on our four-acre ranch in Sage, California. We specialize in seniors, special needs, and unadoptable animals.
We are in a unique situation as a sanctuary. Our rescue animals are not up for adoption. They are here to stay. These animals have been rescued from San Diego, Riverside, and Los Angeles County animal shelters literally hours from euthanasia. The rescued animals are brought to Animal Town Sanctuary and are here to stay until they pass away from natural causes. The rescued animals are ALL seniors and sadly, most have been abused or neglected in some way. We rehabilitate them every day for the rest of their lives. We also provide hospice when the time comes. Unlike traditional shelters that emphasize adoption, the primary purpose of Animal Town Sanctuary is to provide a lifetime of care and sheltering for these rescued animals.
We enjoy sharing our animal experiences and promoting animal education and habitat restoration to the community. Our sanctuary staff has many years of experience with holistic cancer treatments, reverse osmosis water, specialized diets, natural foods, canine supplements, aroma and music therapy. Our rehabilitation efforts and treatments are aimed at improving an animal’s quality of life. We also provide 24 hour, around the clock, End of Life Care for all of our rescues. We always emphasize the importance of spaying and neutering your pet and reporting animal abuse.
With your support, Animal Town Sanctuary will be able to continue its mission.
